Very deep is the well of the past. Should we not call it bottomless? (Thomas Mann, Joseph and his Brothers) And out of the depth of the staircases through our collective soul canyons streaming red threads of unsolved forces and enmeshments are falling towards us. Could we see them - they smoothed themselves into a dizzying bar code of clarifying verticality. In which laid breathing… deliverance… parturition… (Soeren Hellwege, Talks) Tief ist der Brunnen der Vergangenheit. Sollte man ihn nicht unergründlich nennen? (Thomas Mann, Joseph und seine Brüder) Und es fallen uns aus der Tiefe der Treppenhäuser unserer gemeinsamen Seelenschluchten strömend rote Fäden ungelöster Kräfte und Verwicklungen entgegen. Könnten wir sie sehen - sie glätteten sich zu einem schwindelerregenden Strichcode klärender Vertikalität. In ihr läge Atmen... Erlösung... Entbindung... (Soeren Hellwege, Gespräche)

backlight / backsight

HI...NEVERENDING...STORY / SCHWERE KREFTE / BRUNNENSICHT was an environmental installation at the FREIFELD FESTIVAL 22nd-24th august 2014 located in the former kaserne donnerschwee.

the triple title has different meanings. on the one hand evoking a triangular of inner regions, mental spaces and connotations, which on the other hand are more or less evident in the different parts of this environment, with no sharp borders. some regions belong rather to the topos of gravity, some to the topos of verticality which both are clearly connected which each other, some to the topos of historical heritage...
